In The New Mutants, Danielle Moonstar wakes in an abandoned facility after a tornado, overseen by Dr. Cecilia Reyes. Dani meets four other unique teens—Illyana, Rahne, Sam, and Roberto—learning to control their powers. Though initially feeling safe, they soon face terrifying hallucinations, questioning if they are patients or prisoners in this supposed safe haven.
