Eighteen-year-old Coriolanus Snow is preparing for his big chance at the Capitol - he will be an advisor to one of the district representatives in the Hunger Games. However, the representative assigned to him is a girl from the smallest - Twelfth - district. The destinies of the two are now linked, and every decision Coriolanus makes can bring success or failure, triumph or disaster. In the arena, there is a life and death fight, but outside Coriolanus, feelings for his representative begin to awaken and it becomes increasingly difficult to balance the scales, which on one side is obedience to the rules, and on the other - the desire to survive at any cost.
